Queue system¶
The queue system is a function that handles peak loads on the system.
If — for example — a gymnastics association opens enrollment for all its teams at a specific time, the queue system handles the hundreds of parents who all at the same time try to enroll their children on one or more teams.
It can also be that there is extraordinarily high activity across many associations at the same time, which together makes the load on the system high enough for the queue system to be activated and place people in a queue.
The queue system only applies to people/members who try to access the system via the website and/or the Member Portal and for example enroll in an activity/team. The queue system does not apply to people who try to log in to the administration part of the system. This part of the system will therefore always be available.
How it works¶
When a person is placed in the queue, the person will be redirected away from the Member Portal/website and over to a queue system. Here the person waits in the queue until there is capacity in the Member Portal/website for the person to complete their enrollment.
The person who is placed in the queue therefore does not need to do anything special, but simply wait until it is their turn.
How quickly people get through the queue depends on the load on the system. As long as the load is too high, no more people are let in, but as people complete their enrollment and then leave the enrollment page, the load on the system will fall, and there will thereby be room to let more people from the queue into the enrollment page. All of this happens completely automatically.
The queue system follows the same principle as you know from SKAT in connection with the annual tax statement.
Activating the queue system¶
The queue system is activated automatically if the load on the system rises to a high level. You therefore do not need to do anything to start the queue system. Likewise the queue system deactivates itself again when the load on the system falls back to a normal level.
Please note the following¶
When a person is standing in the queue, the person must remain in the same browser (for example Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, etc.) that the person used when joining the queue in the first place. The person cannot switch to another computer (or phone) and then expect to be in the same place in the queue. In that case the person is assigned a new place in the queue.
When you have been granted access, you must be active — that is, begin your enrollment. If you do nothing for 20 minutes, you lose your access to the enrollment system and are placed at the back of the queue in the queue system. You must therefore be ready to complete your enrollment at the time you are granted access to the enrollment system.
